I graduated from Center for Connecticut Massage Therapy (CCMT) in January of 2016. I can do a very light massage to a very deep massage. Since graduating from school I have completed the following courses: Medicinal Aromatherapy, Reiki I & II, Hot Stone Massage, Bamboo Massage and Foot Reflexology.
I am certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MDL). MDL is a very light touch because the lymph is located under the skin. This modality can be helpful riding the body of excess inflammation and is indicated for anyone with lymphatic issues.
In my deep tissue massage I use a technique called structural release. This technique targets the fascia and can be particularly useful in addressing low back pain.

Kate Bednaz, BCST
Kate discovered the positive impact of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) as part of her own health journey. She has worked for over 20 years as Wetland/Soil Scientist connecting with the environmental and designing development to achieve sustainable balance with nature. The impacts of her chronic exposure to tick bites became fully understood as part of her healing journey which intensified post an emergency 4-level spinal fusion. Having “mysterious” symptoms that challenged the western medicine required her to extend her healing journey experiencing many unique healing modalities, finding the most beneficial, comprehensive, and long-term health improvements from BCST.
As a scientist, her experiences as a BCST client were so dramatic that she expanded her understanding of the work, completing a 2-year, 700-hour comprehensive Foundation Training accredited by the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. This training opened her to facilitating a higher level of healing, living, experiencing, noticing and being, that she is passionate to share with her clients. She enjoys working with clients on their journey to expanded levels of health, vibrancy, clarity, and balance within themselves.
When we experience stress or trauma, a holding pattern is created in our bodies which eventually may become illness, pain, or dysfunction. BCST is a gentle, yet potent way to process and resolve these holdings. BCST is gentle and non-invasive yet a deep and effective way of working with the body’s inherent power to heal itself. Rather than the practitioner imposing changes on a client, the client’s system is given intelligent support, space, and stillness necessary for these changes to happen from within. By resolving imbalances in the physiological system, restrictions in the central nervous system are released, leading to a calm mind and a body that can return to its greatest level of potential. The result is a deep state of harmony and health within body and mind. Depending on your needs and desires, a series of sessions are normally recommended. This provides a solid foundation upon which meaningful progress and lasting change can happen.
